A Virginia man who lied about his own death to hide assets from the bankruptcy court and later fraudulently assumed the identity of an attorney from Florida to further the scheme, pleaded guilty to a series of crimes in federal court yesterday. Russell Geyer pleaded guilty to contempt of court, wire fraud, aggravated identity theft and bankruptcy fraud. His sentencing is scheduled for August 6th.
